Bayern Munich vs CFR Cluj 4-0 victory Reaction

Yesterday November 3 Bayern Munich played against  CFR Cluj and won 4-0 with a hat trick by Gomez and a goal by the substitute Mueller in the 90th  minute. Louis van Gaal talked about how impressed he was by Bayern's performance and this is what he said:

"Cluj had many technical players, but did not evolve as a real team," Van Gaal told Prosport after the match. "I am very pleased with our game, except how we started the match.

"We played well for about 80 minutes, stayed well-positioned on the field and my team scored goals. I think we played even better here than we did in Munich against them a fortnight ago.

"The key to tonight's match was Schweinsteiger," added van Gaal.
The CFR Cluj Coach Sorin Cartu was ashamed by his team's defeat to Bayern Munich. This is what he had to say:

"There was a big difference between the two sides that is shameful," the coach told Sport365.ro in a post-match interview. "We were embarrassed in the first half.

"In the second, we had the opportunity to score, but we missed our chances.

"Bayern's victory is deserved, even if the scoreline does not flatter us. I do not want to know what would have happened had they played Ribery and Robben.

"It is normal to be upset, but we must accept this defeat," concluded Cartu.
Oh well sad him but it is OK!
Well I am done with the Reaction to all the games of November 3 and I will be doing the same thing in the next Champions League Match Day. Do not forget later on today to check this blog because I will be posting my first analysis on who I think will qualify the group stages with the points of each group. STAY TUNED FOR MY FIRST ANALYSIS AND MANY MORE NEWS COMING TO UR WAY YESTERDAY TOMORROW AND FOREVER!!!!!

GO BLUES! GO CHELSEA! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Marseille 7-0 win against Zilina Reaction

Marseille played against Zilina yesterday November 3 and won 7-0 which was a thrashing from Marseille. Marseille's coach Didier Deschamps said the 7-0 victory was fun for the players and for him and this is what he said:

“It's fun,” Deschamps told Canal+. “It does not happen often, especially in the Champions League. We wanted this win. I put the team out that I thought was the best, that I would have lined up against Rennes [in the weekend’s postponed match].

Though Gignac struck three times, it was Argentine midfielder Lucho Gonzalez who Deschamps chose to speak about immediately after the game.

“I'm obviously happy with Lucho. We saw a lot more of him today. Whether it was in general play or finishing, he was better.”
This was fun for him but sad for Pavel Hapal who is the coach of Zilina and came out apologizing to the fans of this great 7-0 defeat. This is what Pavel said:

“I must confess that I did not want to come to the press room, not because I was afraid to answer questions but rather because it was very difficult to evaluate this game,” Hapal told the media. “We lost by conceding seven goals! It's a large defeat; it was very bad.

“It's a shame for our fans because they came and they hoped to see something more positive. I ask forgiveness for our performance. I hope the team will improve in the future.”
Too bad for them the next match they have is against Chelsea and after this 7-0 defeat they will have no confidence so I just want to tell Zilina 2 words Hard Luck against Chelsea.

TUNE IN IF UR A BAYERN MUNICH FAN OR CFR CLUJ FAN BECAUSE THEY ARE THE LAST BUT NOT LEAST REACTION POST FOR THIS MATCH DAY!

Roma vs Basel 3-2 Reactions

Yesterday November 3 Roma played against Basel and they won 3-2 and that was important win for Roma. Claudio Ranieri came out and talked about the match and this is what he had to say:

"The first-half was very good, even after the first 20 minutes of Basel pressure," the coach told Sky Sportpost-match. "After the break, we needed to better with the ball and slow the tempo of the match down.

"Instead, we were unable to, and they were dangerous. We suffered a lot, as we soaked up a lot of pressure, but we won and that is the important thing."

Ranieri then explained why certain players made a surprise appearance this evening in such a important clash.

"I have to put on the park the players who are in form," he said. "On many occasions, it is a balancing act and it is not easy. At this time, it is better to be covered from all angles, like a boxer. It is only when we don't have cover that we are in danger.

"We had to win at all costs," he concluded.
Basil Coach Thorsten Fink talked about how his team wasn't the second best and little about the game and this is what he had to say:

"I don't think we were second best tonight, Roma just had tremendous quality," Fink told UEFA.com post-match. "We started well, but were not focused for one second and conceded a goal.
"That's how it goes in the Champions League. The team twice showed a great reaction and we had chances to get an equaliser until the latter stages.

"I said before the match that we are the underdogs, yet it was a close affair. Now we need to beat CFR Cluj and then we should get third place," he concluded.

That was all the reactions for this game and please TUNE IN FOR THE OTHER 2 GAMES REACTIONS!

Arsenal vs Shaktar 1-2 Reaction

Yesterday November 3 Shakhtar played against Arsenal and they won 2-1 which was a shock win. I started with Shakhtar Coach Mircea Lucescu came out and said that he expected the win and that he was not shocked. This is what he had to say:
"It is a very important victory, one which I expected," Lucescu told UEFA.com. "I said before the game that the result in London would have no bearing and that was borne out.

"We played well in the first half, other than for [Theo] Walcott's goal. It was difficult to cope with his pace.

"I liked the players' reaction: they responded immediately and did not take their foot off the gas even when we squandered three or four chances. We utilised the counterattack more in the second period, but still we were far more dangerous than Arsenal.

"We needed the points, but the most important thing today was to demonstrate that we are not the team that struggled in London: we are on a par with Arsenal.

"Nothing is decided yet in our group: we just need to play like we did today in the last two games," he concluded.
This guy proved a point that Shakhtar is not any sucky team and it is able to defeat a big team like Arsenal. Arsene Wenger said that his team was punished because they lost concentration. This is what he had to say:
“We had a good start and after we became too easy, and then we were punished, against a good team you are punished,” Wenger told Sky Sports.

“It’s a good lesson for us tonight because we thought we’d get through without putting 100% focus on every defensive situation and then in the second half we gave a lot to come back into the game but we were a bit unlucky in the finishing and they were intelligent as well and that explains after that it was difficult to come back.

“We had the chances but we couldn’t take them. Overall, I believe we have learned that even if you give a lot, if you are not focussed for 90 minutes  you don’t win at that level.

“We were 1-0 up and comfortable and slowly we dropped our urgency and we were punished because they have good players, and you see that especially on the crosses, nobody attacks the ball and they created chances from that.”

Wenger was questioned about whether Gael Clichy was to blame for Shakhtar’s second goal, but the Frenchman didn’t give much away.

“I don’t know if it was a lack of focus but he was first on the ball, it’s difficult to explain. I haven’t talked to him about it yet.”

The Gunners boss also said that he thought his side were unlucky in the run up to Shakhtar’s first goal, but still criticised his team for failing to deal with the free-kick.

“Yes, but that’s a decision for the referee. We still have to deal better with the free-kick.”

The Walcott’s first half goal was one of the few positives for the Gunners, but Wenger seemed unimpressed by the move, instead insisting that none of his players played well tonight.

“Well I don’t want to speak about any individual performance because nobody was individually outstanding tonight.”

Even when he was pushed about the quality of the goal, the Frenchman remained downbeat.

“It was a good goal, but we play to win the games, you know.”

Wenger also emphasised that the loss represented a missed chance to qualify for the next stage and criticised his side’s lack of maturity for surrendering their first half lead.

“It is a missed opportunity of course. Especially if we get away with a draw we are there nearly. So the most difficult thing in a game is to score the first goal, what we did, and then I believe it’s a lack of maturity not to focus 100% to make sure. We are caught just before half-time and then you give a lot, but it’s just the story of the game. It’s just, it’s football.”

When questioned as to whether previous poor results in the Ukraine had led to his side going into the clash with a mental disadvantage, the Frenchman dismissed the idea, instead insisting that it was a lack of concentration that saw them come up short.

“No you don’t play with memory, you play with the performance of the day and we had twenty minutes today where we were not completely sharp and we were punished.”
This is not from my head and it is an article by Goal.com.
Theo Walcott also came out and talked about how poor they were in defense and this is what he had to say about the game:
“It’s a tough place to come to and they have a very good home record,” Walcott told Sky Sports.

“The early goal was very important for us but going in 2-1 down, it could have been more for them.

“We didn’t defend well and if they took more of their chances they could have scored more goals.

“But in the second half we did show at times that we could win the game but it just wasn’t meant to be.

“You want to get the early goal to shut up their fans and we managed to do that but the next five minutes was very important, but when they took one back it was due to poor defence on our part.  But they are a very good team.”

Walcott was talking about how he scored

“I just thought the keeper wasn’t set right and just took him by surprise and I took myself by surprise as well," he continued.

“It’s just one of those things I have been practicing and it has paid off well."

Walcott still believes that even though they lost they can make it.

“But the goal doesn’t mean anything tonight as we was just trying to get that win.

“We didn’t do that but we are still in a strong position and are still top so there is a lot to play for."

Walcott also talked that now he moved on and they can play better in the next match.

“That’s the great thing about football, the games come around thick and fast," he added.

“I’m ready for Sunday and hopefully it can be a very good win for us.”
That was all for the reactions to this game and do not forget there is other reactions too so TUNE IN!

Real Madrid vs AC Milan November 3 Reaction

There was some reaction to the game Real Madrid vs AC Milan but I chose the coaches.
Jose came out and said that the 2nd goal that Inzaghi scored was a offside and he talked about other stuff and this is what he said:

"Milan's first goal was a mistake by Pepe as he slipped. It was a poor situation for us. The second goal was clearly offside, but I don't want to speak about this," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"We played a great game and played a great first half. We saw Milan's character, not fantastic football, but a team with years of experience in the Champions League.

"We were the bosses on the pitch though. We risked a lot, but the goal from Pedro Leon was right.

"Real Madrid the strongest? We have to improve, we have the talent.

"Everyone is young and we have plenty to work on. We have shown talent and that we are a team who can be naive, but we can win the Champions League if we work on it."
That was a nice talk from Jose and he has a point the second goal was clearly offside but in that game I was supporting both because Jose used to be Chelsea's coach and Carlo coached Milan for 8 years. After Jose finished Milan's coach Massimilano Allegri came out and was disappointed that they couldn't beat Real Madrid and this is what he said:

"I believe the result is a fair one for the chances Madrid had. We have some good chances too. The second half was better, we were in difficulty," he told the Italian press after the game.

"The reaction and the will from us was the strength, but it is a shame we did not win. It's good to see our strengths.

"We were better compared to the game at the Bernabeu. I am happy with what we did. It is an important result for us. It's a shame we never won."

Wait for another post for other reactions for other matches!

Chelsea vs Spartak reaction to the 4-1 victory

Hey People this will be a long one so I will cut each team to a post by it self.
There was a lot of reaction from the Coaches and Players and even tacticians. Yesterday the main games were Chelsea played against Spartak and won 4-1. AC Milan Tied with Real Madrid 2-2 (they counted Inzaghis offside goal). Bayern Munich won 4-1 against Cluj. Marseille won 7-0 against Zilina. Roma won 3-2 to FC Basel. Shakhtar played against Arsenal and won 2-1.

The first reaction I wanted to share was of course Chelsea's game against Spartak where they won 4-1.
Ivanovic and Ashley Cole came out and talked about how pleased they were they won and this is what Ashley Cole had to say.

"I think at this period of time we're not playing as well as we have at the start of the season but we're grinding out results.

"I think everyone knew we had to pick it up from the first half and said 'keep going, we'll get a goal' and it was a great move for Nico's [Anelka] first goal.

"I don't think we're playing as well as we did at the start of the season, but we're going to places where we lost last season and winning games which is the most important thing."

Ashley Cole also talked about what he thought of Drogba and Anelka.

He said: "I think as a team, we've all improved defensively and offensively but I think Nico and Didier, when you need these guys, they're always stepping up to the plate and it was Nico and Didier who set up the first goal and it was a great finish from Nico.

"When you have people like that, with that much pace and skill, centre-backs tend to drop off him because they're scared of him, when you have him running at you."
After that Ivanovic who scored 2 goals in the game also came out and started talking about the game and this is what he had to say:
"We put pace on the game, and I think Spartak Moscow lose [sic] concentration in the half and we scored from our chances and opened up the game and after the first goal things got easier.

"From a free-kick we have a lot of chances, we know we are strong from attacking set pieces and it's nice when you score because of more confidence and everything."
Cole also added before he left and this is what he had to say:
"For certain players and as a club you want to win the Champions League.

"We've had disappointment going to Moscow and losing on penalties so I think there is hunger in our heads and desire to win it but there's still a long way to go."
After they finished their interview Carlo commented on how fabulous Nicolas Anelka was in the game and this is what he said:

"Anelka was the key to opening up the game. He scored a fantastic, vital goal.
And Carlo also said that Anelka will help them in the race for the Champions League:
"He [Anelka] has experience," stated the Italian. "He maintains very good skill, ability, and speed.
"There will be a long race getting to the final.
"When you reach the first aim, which is to win the group, the next aim is to reach the final, and then to win that.

Spartak Coach Valeri Karpin came out and was disappointed saying this:

"We played good football in the first half," the coach toldUEFA.com post-match. "The match was close until the first goal, then we let our heads drop."

"Nothing has changed in terms of our chances of getting out of the group. If we win our last two games, we will qualify.

"When you're losing 4-1, there's not much joy in having scored at Stamford Bridge. It would only have been significant if the score had been 0-0 at the time.
"I believe our mistakes were down to pressure. Chelsea players are just stronger individually, you can't forget that. We were not that nervous, like in the first match, and that's good.
"Chelsea were simply better tonight. I took a risk by starting with Alex. He was fit, but his form is far from ideal," concluded Karpin.

If you support any other team who are in the Champions League and want to see their response to the game then just wait a moment because each game get its post.
