Marseille played against Zilina yesterday November 3 and won 7-0 which was a thrashing from Marseille. Marseille's coach Didier Deschamps said the 7-0 victory was fun for the players and for him and this is what he said:
“It's fun,” Deschamps told Canal+. “It does not happen often, especially in the Champions League. We wanted this win. I put the team out that I thought was the best, that I would have lined up against Rennes [in the weekend’s postponed match].
Though Gignac struck three times, it was Argentine midfielder Lucho Gonzalez who Deschamps chose to speak about immediately after the game.
“I'm obviously happy with Lucho. We saw a lot more of him today. Whether it was in general play or finishing, he was better.”
This was fun for him but sad for Pavel Hapal who is the coach of Zilina and came out apologizing to the fans of this great 7-0 defeat. This is what Pavel said:
“I must confess that I did not want to come to the press room, not because I was afraid to answer questions but rather because it was very difficult to evaluate this game,” Hapal told the media. “We lost by conceding seven goals! It's a large defeat; it was very bad.
“It's a shame for our fans because they came and they hoped to see something more positive. I ask forgiveness for our performance. I hope the team will improve in the future.”
Too bad for them the next match they have is against Chelsea and after this 7-0 defeat they will have no confidence so I just want to tell Zilina 2 words Hard Luck against Chelsea.
