Roma vs Basel 3-2 Reactions

Yesterday November 3 Roma played against Basel and they won 3-2 and that was important win for Roma. Claudio Ranieri came out and talked about the match and this is what he had to say:

"The first-half was very good, even after the first 20 minutes of Basel pressure," the coach told Sky Sportpost-match. "After the break, we needed to better with the ball and slow the tempo of the match down.

"Instead, we were unable to, and they were dangerous. We suffered a lot, as we soaked up a lot of pressure, but we won and that is the important thing."

Ranieri then explained why certain players made a surprise appearance this evening in such a important clash.

"I have to put on the park the players who are in form," he said. "On many occasions, it is a balancing act and it is not easy. At this time, it is better to be covered from all angles, like a boxer. It is only when we don't have cover that we are in danger.

"We had to win at all costs," he concluded.
Basil Coach Thorsten Fink talked about how his team wasn't the second best and little about the game and this is what he had to say:

"I don't think we were second best tonight, Roma just had tremendous quality," Fink told UEFA.com post-match. "We started well, but were not focused for one second and conceded a goal.
"That's how it goes in the Champions League. The team twice showed a great reaction and we had chances to get an equaliser until the latter stages.

"I said before the match that we are the underdogs, yet it was a close affair. Now we need to beat CFR Cluj and then we should get third place," he concluded.

That was all the reactions for this game and please TUNE IN FOR THE OTHER 2 GAMES REACTIONS!
